Brookfield firefighters helped renovate a home in New Milford that caught fire Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022. Officials said two people were displaced in the blaze, but no injuries were reported.

NEW MILFORD – Two people have been displaced after a fire broke out at their home in Bostwick Place on Tuesday evening, officials said.
The New Milford Fire Marshal’s Office said no injuries were reported and the two occupants were staying with their families in the area.
The 1,400 square foot house fire also drew volunteer crews from nearby Brookfield. Firefighters said they were called to the scene just south of downtown New Milford around 8:30 p.m.
