Bullock said the Carlisle Fire Company in Milford was alerted shortly before 5.00pm on January 12, 2022 to respond to the Elizabeth Street unit block in Milford for a reported house fire.
The Carlisle Fire Company arrived with heavy smoke from the one-and-a-half-storey single-family home. Assistance was requested from neighboring firefighters and the fire was brought under control shortly after 6:00 p.m.
State Assistant Fire Marshals investigated the cause of the fire and determined that the fire originated in the kitchen/dining area and was caused by improper smoking products. thrown away.
