The new school year has started in some towns and cities in Connecticut, but schedules are being adjusted due to the hot weather.

New Milford Public Schools will fire students early Friday due to the hot weather.

Schaghticoke Middle School and New Milford High School will be laid off at noon.

Hill and Plain Elementary School, Northville Elementary School and Sarah Noble Middle School will be laid off at 1:00 p.m.
