New Milford Schools Launch COVID-19 Dashboard

NEW MILFORD – Schools in New Milford on Monday announced the launch of a new COVID-19 dashboard to help reduce the volume of communication between parents and staff and condense information.

The news was announced at an Education Council meeting on Tuesday evening, with a letter already sent to parents on Monday regarding the communication changes. Instead of email updates on COVID cases, the dashboard will serve as a repository of information.

Superintendent Alisha DiCorpo noted that the dashboard would be updated daily with information at the school and district level. Each update would also be time-stamped to notify parents of the latest update, according to the letter sent to parents.


“It is important to note that the dashboard will only be updated if there is a positive case in a school. In the event that there is no report for the day, the dashboard will remain unchanged, ”the letter said.

As of April 27, when the dashboard was last updated, there were 23 cases across the five schools, including one active case and seven students in quarantine.

Schools returned to class this week after a week of distance learning after spring break. All schools are back in person at this point.
