MILFORD, CT – Milford Public Schools will offer students and staff members a free COVID-19 rapid antigen test after a local increase in cases.
Test kits will be distributed on Thursday, April 14 to students and staff who wish them. Each kit contains two tests.
School officials recommend that students and staff take a test on the morning of April 25, which is the return from spring break.
Here’s how the kits will be distributed, according to a letter sent to school families:
High Schools: Test kits will be offered directly to all students and staff during the school day on Thursday 14/04.
Middle and elementary schools: Staff members will be able to pick up a test kit during the school day on Thursday 14/04. For students, test kits will be offered to all parents/guardians on behalf of their student upon departure (for those in vehicles waiting for their student and for walker pickups).
Hours after school: Free test kits will continue to be available at the main entrances of Jonathan Law High School and Joseph A. Foran High School on Thursday, 4/14 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This will be a drive-through pickup. Directional signage and staff will be available to assist you upon arrival.
If you are unable to collect a test kit during the above hours, you can visit your child’s school during the school day on Thursday April 14 and a test kit will be provided to you at the doorstep. hall. This cannot be done during check-in or check-out times.
