Another restaurant in the area has closed, in part due to crippling staff shortages at many establishments across the state.
After serving the community for decades, the Milford House Bar & Grill at 113 East Commerce Street announced its permanent closure on Wednesday morning.
In a Facebook post, owners Perry and Kris Sinacola said: “It’s no secret that the past 18 months have been extremely difficult for the entire restaurant industry. The dedicated staff at Milford House have worked tirelessly to weather the storm and continue to provide a quality dining experience for all of our customers. More recently, our inability to find suitable staff has forced Milford House and Perriez Carryout to permanently close our doors with immediate effect”.
The owners said they appreciate all of the community support over the past 28 years and will miss everyone and the gathering place they helped make amazing.
Social media posts had generated more than 800 comments by Thursday night from customers and others saddened by the news and wishing the family well in their future endeavours. Facebook picture.
